A real office server

  1. 1

    The problem

The business ran on aging PCs, with apps, files and backups spread across machines.

  2. 2

    The bees make a plan

A Windows Server setup that hosts the platform's staging and live sites, a shared file layout and health checks.

  3. 3

    Build

    • Took inventory of every app and file share
    • Designed a clean folder and service layout
    • Deployed staging and live with health-check scripts
  4. 4

    Test

Wrote rebuild notes so it can be restored

  5. 5

    Where it stands

The server runs the platform today. A hardware upgrade is planned because it's at full load.
